Northwest Regional Basketball History
The Northwest Regional Basketball Tournament is an extramural event endorsed by the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). The purpose of the NIRSA Sponsorship and Endorsement Program is to encourage participation in intramural and recreational sports by creating event opportunities which add extra excitement, fun and rewards to existing school programs and services. NIRSA is working very hard to break new ground in the sponsored and endorsed event area. To develop a comprehensive program takes time, resources and cooperation. Every effort is being made to create opportunities which will enable all Institutional Members, the NIRSA and the sponsors to achieve their independent as well as collective objectives.
